PERSONNEL of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-1 have undergone fire safety seminar to empower them in responding to such incident, the military said.The fire safety seminar was held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Naval Station Rio Hondo, in Rio Hondo village in Zamboanga City.“The seminar is part of the unit’s advocacy to increase personnel awareness to avoid fire incident and ensure personnel readiness and proficiency in responding to such incident,” the MBLT-1 said in a statement.

“The seminar underscores the importance of fire prevention and suppression in order to prevent fire, save lives, protect properties, and create a safe and fire-free environment,” the MBLT-1 added.The MBLT-1 said that through the seminar, their personnel were able to acquire essential knowledge and skills through lectures and practical application of different procedures in combating fire that are essential and applicable both in the workplace and places of residence.
