The Marikina City local government announced on Saturday, Jan. 8, that the city has recorded 1,116 active COVID-19 cases as of Jan. 7.

Barangay Concepcion Uno topped the COVID-19 tally list with 149 active cases followed by Concepcion Dos with 135.All active cases will undergo another swab tests after their 14-day isolation.

Meanwhile, the LGU will also conduct contact tracing to identify all the close contacts of patients afflicted with COVID-19.Residents are also reminded to follow the minimum health protocols standardized by the Department of Health : Wash hands with soap and water or with 70% isopropyl or ethyl alcohol; wear masks with minimum of three-ply layers, and maintain six feet or two meters of distance from each other when in public.
