Pasay City gov’t urges elderly to join Senior Citizens Vaccination Day

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano encouraged the city’s senior population to take part in the Senior Citizens Vaccination Day, especially those who remain unvaccinated.

She said the Senior Vaccination Day is open to all pre-registered and walk-ins at the MOA Giga Vaccination Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Rubiano said senior citizens who will be accompanied by a relative who also wants to get vaccinated will be accommodated. The mayor said based on the record of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit , 155 communities out of 201 have confirmed cases of COVID-19. Rubiano said Barangay 183 with 103 active cases, and Barangay 201 with 57 cases, topped the 155 barangays with confirmed cases.

She said the city also recorded two new deaths, bringing the city’s total number of COVID-related deaths to 557.
