The Philippines joined Muslim communities worldwide in celebrating Eid’l Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, as President Marcos called on Filipinos to find strength and wisdom in the face of adversity.
“As we understand the significance of this commemoration, we feel deep within ourselves that, in nurturing our relationship with others and the Almighty, we are strengthened by our past and fueled with lessons to face tomorrow with grit and resilience,” Mr. Marcos said. The President also spoke about the importance of community and spiritual dependence, advocating for a life enriched by purpose and driven by the collective well-being of society. He expressed hope that Filipinos will continue to seek clarity and kindness, especially during times of trial.
