President Marcos vowed to push for the Philippines’ interests in his engagements with neighboring countries as he left Manila on Tuesday to attend the
2024 Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit in Vientiane, Laos.
“The ASEAN Leaders will explore how we can promote regional connectivity amongst ASEAN Member States, as well as to strengthen our resilience to promote sustainable development and inclusive growth,” according to the President. He highlighted his resolve to advance the Philippines’ interest in discussing international issues that affect the region, particularly in the West Philippines Sea.
