PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expects a more stable and cheaper power supply in the country with the expanded development of the Malampaya gas field and the blending of imported liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The President made the statement when he met with the officials of Prime Energy Resources Development B.V., , led by Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc. Chairman Enrique Razon Jr., in Malacañang on Tuesday.President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during a Cabinet meeting in Malacañang.
Presidential Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil said Prime Energy officials discussed with the President their plans to explore and develop indigenous gas prospects, supplement the current indigenous gas production with LNG imports through a gas aggregation framework, and boost the stability, competitiveness and expansion of the country's gas market.'It seems that this gas aggregator idea is the key. Again, we have work to do,' Marcos told Prime Energy officials.
