A year they were into office, a recent survey said the approval and trust ratings of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri and Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo remain stable.
Also, the survey said Vice President Duterte maintained her approval rating at 67 percent and enjoyed overwhelming support in Mindanao at 79 percent. Among individuals aged 18-24, President Marcos’ trust rating decreased to 45 percent, while Vice President Duterte-Carpio’s trust rating dropped to 47 percent within the same age group.
The House Speaker gains more opposition during this quarter of 19 percent from 15 percent last Quarter, particularly in the National Capital Region , and to some extent in the Southern Luzon and Mindanao regions, but maintains a steady overall approval rating of 42 percent and trust rating of 32 percent.
In terms of individual qualities and characteristics, the survey said President Marcos is distinguished for his humility and eloquence, which he shares with Senate President Zubiri. Vice President Duterte-Carpio, on the other hand, is strongly associated with bravery that resonates with the public.
