President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said Monday that the possibility of extending the tenure of Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rommel Marbil is under consideration.
“I think that is probably a very strong argument to keep him on, at the very least, until after the elections,” he said. Calls for an extension have emerged amid concerns over the potential disruption of police operations during the critical pre-election period.
