President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed the Department of Budget and Management to reinstate the P400 million branding budget of the Department of Tourism (DOT) to maintain the country's progress in promoting its global image.

“We have to maintain the momentum,” Mr. Marcos said. “It doesn’t hurt that we have people like Sofronio winning The Voice and that we had Caloy Yulo winning . All of these things that our people are doing are great for the Philippines,” he added. She warned that insufficient funding would limit the country’s engagement with target audiences, reduce opportunities for trade and consumer activation, and hinder global media placements.
