President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Thursday expressed hope that an improved Tacloban Airport could be ready in the next two years. Marcos made the remark during the distribution of the presidential assistance to farmers and fisherfolk in Palo, Leyte . ''Isa na nga po rito ang ating patuloy na pagsasaayos sa Tacloban Airport na nagkakahalaga ng higit dalawa at kalahating bilyong piso.
Maybe next year we can inaugurate the terminal.) ''Ang ating ginagawa, ang Passenger Terminal Building, ang airport runway, at karagdagang daan sa airport... habang pinapalawak natin ang buong paliparan,'' he added. Marcos is hoping that by 2026 the improved airport would be finished.''Hangad natin na sa pagdating ng 2026, matatapos na ito at magdadala ng mas maayos at mas mabilis na serbisyo sa ating mga kababayan,'' Marcos said.
