A man was arrested in Davao City for shoplifting after being caught stealing items from a store in Lanang. The incident serves as a reminder for businesses and shoppers to be vigilant against theft.
A SHOPLIFTING incident was reported at a store in Lanang , Barangay Pampanga, Davao City , on Sunday afternoon, December 15.The suspect, identified as alias 'Arnel,' 51, a jobless resident of Lougemar Village, was apprehended after attempting to leave the store without paying the items he took.According to a report from the Davao City Police Office, the incident occurred around 2:56 p.m.
The stolen goods included a pack of cheese hotdog, a pack of chili and cheese hotdog, deli cheese, hopia, and diced ubeWhen asked to present a receipt for the items, the suspect failed to do so. The total value of the stolen goods was estimated at P1,667.35.PMSg Roger C. Babao of Mobile 2543 responded promptly to the scene, where he arrested the suspect and later turned him over to the police station along with the recovered items for proper processing.
