The local government unit (LGU) of Makati City will be distributing P50-million worth of grocery vouchers to residents, including condominium-dwellers, Mayor Abigail
She reassured her constituents that “no one will be left behind” during the coronavirus disease 2019 crisis.
“We are already finalizing the mechanics and guidelines on the distribution of the grocery vouchers. This is but one of several forms of assistance that we have decided to pursue to optimize available resources for the benefit of all Makatizens,” she said. Binay explained that the Makati LGU tied up with Puregold to give beneficiaries the freedom to get essential items that they need for their daily sustenance.
As such, the city government delivered food packs to around 80,000 public school students from preschool to senior high school to address their nutritional needs in these trying times.
