According to the Makati Health Department , 44,146 patients in the city have already recovered while 984 died from the disease. Makati City Mayor Abby Binay urged the public not to be complacent despite the declining number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila.On Dec. 8, Binay announced that Ospital ng Makati and Makati Medical Center have recorded no new COVID-19 patients after almost two years of battling the pandemic.
