ILOILO CITY – The Land Transportation Office-6 (Western Visayas) relaunched the use of alcohol breath analyzers against drunk drivers during the highlight of the 2025 Dinagyang Festival here this weekend.

“This would be used as a deterrent for drunk driving. This is our proactive measure,” said LTO-6 Regional Director Gaudioso Geduspan II. He said that the penalty for violating RA 10586 is very harsh – imprisonment or revocation of licenses and a fine ranging from P20,000 to P500,000.
