Megaworld Corp. launched a new set of dolls depicting the folkloric conversion of the native Ati people, a centerpiece of the annual Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City. Known as Niño: The Dinagyang Warrior Doll, these miniature versions of performers will be featured in various side events hosted by Iloilo Business Park.

Iloilo Business Park of property developer Megaworld Corp . launched a new set of dolls this week ahead of the weekend highlight of this year’s festival.THE Niño: The Dinagyang Warrior Doll is unveiled at Iloilo Business Park in Iloilo City . Known as Niño: The Dinagyang Warrior Doll, these dolls are miniature versions of performers depicting folkloric conversion of the native Ati people – the centerpiece of the annual festival that honors the Santo Niño or Child Jesus.

“This year, we chose to unveil Niño as the Dinagyang is a celebration of the Santo Niño, which embodies our hope, faith, unity, devotion, cultural pride, and innovation,” said Karmela Jesena, the general manager of Festive Walk Iloilo. In coordination with the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. , the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park is set to host side events of the Dinagyang, including the ILOMINATION or the night competition of participating groups. Others are art exhibits, concerts, food festival, a float parade, food festival, and fireworks show.
