PAGASA tracks an LPA outside PAR while the CGDPAL in Puerto Princesa City continues to rescue and assist families impacted by severe flooding.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration ( PAGASA ) is keeping a close eye on a low-pressure area ( LPA ) situated outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). As of 2 p.m. today, the LPA was positioned 305 kilometers southwest of Kalayaan, Palawan.

Meanwhile, the City Government Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Puerto Princesa City (CGDPAL) has been actively providing support to families impacted by severe flooding across various areas within the city since February 9th. Due to relentless heavy rainfall, a total of 108 families and 30 individuals from seven barangays in Puerto Princesa City were rescued from the floodwaters. All rescued individuals are reported to be in good health and have been relocated to designated evacuation centers within their respective barangays. These barangays include: 1. Barangay San Manuel; 2. Barangay San Pedro; 3. Barangay Bancao-Bancao; 4. Barangay San Jose; 5. Barangay Sicsican; 6. Barangay Irawan; and 7. Wescom Road. The CGDPAL remains dedicated to upholding public safety, carrying out rescue operations as required, and delivering prompt assistance to affected families and individuals.
