One Direction member Louis Tomlinson has issued a statement following Liam Payne 's death.Posting an old photo of the two of them on stage, Louis described Liam as "a positive funny, and kind soul.""I am beyond devastated to be writing this" he said on Instagram, adding "Liam was somebody I looked up to everyday.

Recounting their off cam moments, Louis gave the public a hint of their close friendship, "speaking on the phone for hours, reminiscing about all the thousands amazing memories we had together.""I would have loved to share the stage with you again but it wasn't to be," Louis said.He promised he will be "the uncle" to Liam's son Bear "and tell him stories of how amazing his dad was.
