The young boy who was found dead alongside a 74-year-old man following a house fire in Lara has been identified as tributes flow for the pair. 7NEWS
Another child, the 10-year-old brother of Elihjohn, was also inside the property but managed to escape unharmed.Two people were found dead inside the Lara home.A fundraiser has been set up by Kristie’s close friend Yasmin Romania to help raise money for the grieving family.
“Our goal is to raise money following the tragic house fire in Lara, sending condolences in these tough times, saying goodbye to her beautiful son, Elihjohn and family friend Peter,” Romania wrote.7NEWS.com.au was given family permission to identify Elihjohn.Vietnam veteran Peter Cochrane, 74.Neighbours of Cochrane described him as a “top bloke”, and said they couldn’t believe what had happened.Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Guthrie said the fire was not suspicious but was a “tragic accident”.
