LGUs in Visayas, Mindanao can implement community quarantines: Nograles COVID19
MANILA- Local government units in Visayas and Mindanao can declare local community quarantines or lockdowns, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said Wednesday.
"For areas outside Luzon, such as regions in Mindanao and the Visayas, local government units have the discretion to implement ECQs if they deem it necessary," Nograles said in a virtual press briefing. Several areas outside Luzon have also implemented local community quarantines as people were told to stay home to control the spread of COVID-19.
