Memorial University’s nursing degree program has received a seven-year national accreditation. - File. - FileThe Independent Appointments Commission is encouraging people to apply for opportunities with our province’s agencies, boards, and commissions. Allow me to provide some background.

Since that time, more than 100 competitions have been undertaken, resulting in over 300 appointments for these ABCs, which span many sectors from healthcare and housing to energy and education. As the new chair of the IAC, and on behalf of our commissioners, I want to thank all those who have advanced their interest in serving our province via our application portal over the past few years.

Important work is undertaken by ABCs like the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation, the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic, the Labour Relations Board, The Rooms Corporation, health boards and more. These organizations need your expertise to help guide and direct their work, ultimately improving the social and economic fabric of the province.

If you are interested in being considered for these positions as they become available, please consult our website at www.iacnl.ca or contact us atFor those who have provided information through our portal in past, we would encourage you to update your information, as your application expires two years after submission.
