Playing out of the Glencoe Club in Calgary, Bottcher breezed through the A-event and then defeated Koe in the opening game of the Page playoff system to book a spot in the final. “It was a well-played game,” Koe said. “They’re one of the best teams in the world and it’s like a chess match out there. It would not be surprising if Koe and Bottcher were to meet in another Brier final, taking place next month in London, Ont. The two teams know each other well and seem to bring the best out of one another.Article content Koe countered with a perfect draw to the button to score two in the fourth.
