King Charles will break one of the late Queen Elizabeth’s longest-running traditions, leaving Sandringham after Christmas to spend as much of the festive season as possible in Scotland.
Every year Queen Elizabeth II would spend several weeks on the sprawling estate at Norfolk to mark the anniversary of her father King George VI's death.
But according to the New York Post, Charles plans to spend as much of the festive season as possible in his Scottish home in Aberdeenshire. About 50 extended family members were reportedly on this year's guest list, making it the biggest royal reunion since the Her Majesty's funeral three months ago.
