The Bank of England has unveiled its new £5, £10, £20 and £50 polymer banknotes featuring King Charles III.

His Majesty makes two appearances on the new £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes, on the front as well as a cameo appearance in the see-through security window.

While the front of the newly designed notes will change, the reverse side featuring portraits of Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, JMW Turner and Alan Turing will remain. Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said he was extremely proud of the new history-making banknotes. King Charles will be crowned on May 6 in a much more low-key ceremony than the late Queen's coronation in 1953.
