MANILA, Philippines — With the PBA Governors' Cup Finals concluding last week basketball fans now shift their attention to Gilas Pilipinas, which will start its training camp this coming on Friday at the INSPIRE Sports Camp in Calamba, Laguna .Young big men Kai Sotto and AJ Edu are expected to arrive some time this week to join Gilas for its scheduled training camp in Laguna .
The 6-foot-11 Edu is also back with a vengeance since sustaining a knee injury late last year while playing for the Toyama Grouses.The former University of Toledo big man missed Gilas' home-and-away games against Hong Kong and Taiwan last February. The national squad won both games.Edu has been solid thus far for his new B.League squad Nagasaki Velcas, averaging 6.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.
