Age, as it’s so often said, has its privileges. And for those who have lived long enough to have grey hairs, they know it carries a penalty, too.

#VWFC is the fourth-youngest team in MLS. Not surprisingly, the four youngest clubs are the ones considered to have the best academies. And of the three teams younger than the #Whitecaps, one won the Supporters Shield, and the other two had top-4 finishes. https://t.co/oXBaeY06Lg “We’re open to helping the younger guys out, and that’s one of the main things we need to do — help out each and every one of the younger players and lead by example. I think both of those guys are great role models in that sense, and I try to be that myself.”

“It is a bit odd, considering it’s only my third year, that I’m one of the longest-serving ,” said the 24-year-old. “I’m here to help all the new guys getting used to the city, getting used to the club, as much as I can.” “That’s the good thing about the team, the guys are so receptive. I’ve played with some young guys that don’t want to listen, and think they made it, and don’t want to take on board, but our guys are great.”“Just go through Google, you’ll see some shockers of mine, I’ll tell you,” he said, grinning.
