Infant who died in Batangas found later to be COVID19 positive, says mayor

MANILA - A newborn male in Lipa City, Batangas who died last April 5 was found later to be positive for the new coronavirus, the local mayor said Thursday.

Mayor Eric Africa said on his official Facebook page that the infant was only 23 days old at the time of his death. With "results obtained from after death," the patient, who is from the city's Barangay Lodlod, was described by Africa as Case No. 15.As of Thursday, Batangas province has recorded 60 coronavirus infections.
