Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday announced it will launch the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C56) carrying Singapore's DS-SAR satellite and six other co-passengers on July 30.
The launch is scheduled at 06:30 a.m. local time from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, ISRO said in a statement.
According to ISRO, Newspace India Limited, a public sector enterprise under India's Department of Space, has procured PSLV-C56 to deploy Singapore's DS-SAR satellite. "Once deployed and operational, it will be used to support the satellite imagery requirements of various agencies within the Government of Singapore. ST Engineering will use it for multi-modal and higher responsiveness imagery and geospatial services for their commercial customers," ISRO said.
The six other co-passenger satellites include VELOX-AM, Atmospheric Coupling and Dynamics Explorer , SCOOB-II, NuLIoN, Galassia-2, and ORB-12 Strider.
