ILOILO CITY — The Transportation and Traffic Management Office of this city is pushing for the use of body-worn cameras during the enforcement of the city's traffic laws and regulations.TTMO head Uldarico Garbanzos said that the body-worn cameras will enhance transparency and accountability in their operations as well as provide valuable evidence in case of disputes or legal proceedings.
He added that once the body-worn cameras become part of their operations, additional policies and procedures would be integrated into the city's existing traffic regulation ordinances, particularly concerning the storage and usage of the files in court presentations.Garbanzos said the body-worn cameras will initially be used by the TTMO's over 300 personnel.
