ILOILO CITY – The Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo in this city has renewed its commitment to sustainable seafood sourcing.
The hotel was recently cited by several international bodies for their role in the Responsible Seafood Sourcing Program funded by the United States Agency for International Development.
The hotel sources its blue crabs from Igbon Island in Concepcion, a town in northern Iloilo province. The Responsible Seafood Sourcing Program is part of the Fish Right Program supported by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources of the Department of Agriculture, the Iloilo provincial government, and the crab fishers of Igbon.
