Despite a decline in the growth of new cases, Iloilo City remained at high risk for COVID-19 as of Saturday, the OCTA Research group said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Bacolod, Cebu City, Lapu Lapu, Mandaue, Ormoc and Tacloban were at moderate risk for COVID-19 as of Saturday, it said.
Iloilo City had a 64% healthcare utilization rate as of Saturday, the group said. The HCUR refers to the occupancy of isolation, ward, and intensive care unit beds, as well as the utilization of mechanical ventilators.The HCUR in Lapu Lapu City was at 38%, Mandaue at 42%, Ormoc at 35%, and Tacloban at 53%.The growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Iloilo City went down by 55% in the current week as compared to the previous week.
The city's average daily attack rate or the 7-day average number of new cases per 100,000 people stood at 22.11. Meanwhile, the city's virus reproduction number is 0.53 while its positivity rate is 25%, the group said. The reproduction rate refers to the number of people infected by one case. A reproduction number that is below 1 indicates that the transmission of the virus is slowing down. The positivity rate, on the other hand, refers to the percentage of people who were found positive for COVID-19 among the total number of individuals tested.As of February 12, the growth rate of COVID-19 cases for the week went down by 60% in Bacolod compared to the previous week.The ADAR remained high in Cebu City at 12.
