How cancellation of Panagbenga festival, other tourism events helped Baguio in COVID19 fight
Watch also in iWant or TFC.tv MANILA - Cancellation of the annual Panagbenga Flower Festival, one of the most biggest tourism events in Baguio City, as well as strict implementation of infection prevention measures helped Baguio lessen the spread of the novel coronavirus, its mayor said Tuesday.
Baguio earlier canceled big events such as the Panagbenga Festival, originally scheduled in February, as the threat of the virus loomed. Magalong, former chief of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said health personnel are accompanied by policemen during contact tracing.
The city's contact tracing database is also stored in a cloud system for easier access, Magalong said.
