Australians enjoying their Christmas break in the southern states should get ready to break out the sunscreen as a heatwave is predicted to sweep through next week.
The week leading up to Christmas will continue with the colder temperatures experienced throughout the last week and could bring significant rainfall.

Offer ends 31 October, 2023 Adelaide will see the worst of the heatwave, with temperatures expected to soar to 37C on Boxing Day and 41C on Tuesday. Sydneysiders should also break out the sunscreen on Sunday with temperatures reaching 26C in the CBD and 31C in the west.
