For those who have always dreamed of watching “Hamilton,” and for the lucky ones who want to watch it again, a “Hamilton” “film” — also known as show recording — is finally available on the Disney+ platform.
I didn’t want to enjoy it that way and just listened to the soundtrack, which is an energetic mix of Broadway song writing with a hip hop, RnB and pop. So many songs have a way of sticking in your head just at first listen. Hamilton is the story of one of America’s Founding Fathers. He came from very humble beginnings but made his way to George Washington’s inner circle and played a key role in the American Revolutionary War. The show portrays Hamilton as flawed and complicated — as were many of the other historical figures featured in the show.
Charlize likes to do her own stunts and fights and she likes studying videos of fight sequences for research. She said, “You always come across that odd Seagal video of him ‘fighting’ in Japan, but he really isn’t. He’s just incredibly overweight and pushing people. He’s overweight and can barely fight … look it up, it’s ridiculous. He’s shoving people by the face.”
