Troops from the 67th Infantry Battalion, under the 701st Infantry Brigade, acted on information provided by vigilant residents regarding possible armed activity in Sitio Manawi, Barangay Simulao, Boston, Davao Oriental.

The Army unit reported that an engagement occurred, resulting in the recovery of a grenade launcher, a medical kit, and various other items. No casualties were reported among government forces, while the condition of the armed group remains unknown.Agila Division Commander Major General Allan Hambala expressed gratitude for the public’s active participation and trust in reporting potential threats.

“The people of the Davao Region have shown their commitment to the peace and vibrant way of life we now enjoy. The sustained cooperation between residents and our soldiers reflects a shared resolve to maintain this stability. Together, we ensure that the achievements we’ve worked hard for are preserved,” said Maj. Gen. Hambala.

The operation was part of the 10ID’s intensified Focused Military Operations aimed at defeating remnants of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee and the Integrated Territorial Defense System .
