Pell is an imposing figure - more than 190 centimetres tall, with steel-grey hair and a solid build. Though he walks with a stoop, he has an imperious air that makes him seem even larger than he really is. His voice has the sonorous quality of one accustomed to making himself heard in the back pews of a cathedral. In ordinary conversation, his remarks can sound like excerpts from a sermon.
“I came out today because I thought it was important - if people are looking into the legacy of this person, that they think about these victims,” Daniel said. “I don’t see Cardinal George Pell as a very trustworthy person. Therefore, I wouldn’t believe what he has to say,” he said.
