THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the applications of G-Xchange, Inc., which operates GCash, and Indonesian firm Macodimarc Technology Corp. (Pluang PH) to participate in its regulatory sandbox program.
THE Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the applications of G-Xchange, Inc., which operates GCash, and Indonesian firm Macodimarc Technology Corp. to participate in its regulatory sandbox program. The Strategic Sandbox initiative was introduced last year with the aim of enabling participants to test products, services or new business models in a live and controlled environment within a specified period.
The securities that will be offered are listed on the New York Stock Exchange and/or on the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations . Pluang PH's sandbox will run for six months and will involve a controlled group of up to 1,000 qualified buyers and retail users. G-Xchange, meanwhile, will seek to provide simplified and unified access to global stock markets within its application for a period of 24 months, with up to 2 million participants capable of being admitted.
