Galvez: US, Europe downplayed coronavirus, bear brunt of pandemic

MANILA - The United States and some European countries are bearing the brunt of the coronavirus pandemic because they trivialized the threat of the disease, a Philippine government official said Tuesd

ay.

"Huwag nating maliitin ang COVID. Nakita natin na ang US at European countries na minaliit ang epekto ng COVID, ngayon sila ay nagsa-suffer ng consequences. Huwag nating hayaang matulad sa ganitong sitwasyon," he said. "Nakita natin ang nangyari sa mga bansang hindi sumunod sa social distancing at lockdown. Libo-libo ang namamatay sa kanila araw-araw. Inuulit ko po, huwag po tayong pasaway," he said.
