Galvez announced the plan as the government received on Tuesday afternoon another batch of 12,000 PPE sets from China. The protective gears were flown by a Xiamen Air chartered flight.

The new arrivals are part of the 1 million PPEs procured by the Department of Health from China for P1.8 billion. “This is for our frontliners. As we have promised, the administration will be taking care of our frontliners so that will be protected,” Galvez said. “Nag-reserve kami ng more or less mga 5,000 to 7,000 para kapag once may mangailangan, we can immediately put them into use ,” Galvez said.
