“Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday signed an ordinance that will suspend or cancel the business permits of funeral homes refusing to provide service to families of COVID-19 patients.Ordinance No. 8628 also penalizes funeral homes that overprice coffins and overcharge cremation and burial services.
The business permits of the violators of this ordinance will be suspended on the first offense. On the subsequent offenses, their business permits will be cancelled. “Sa lahat ng punerarya, ayokong may mauulit na insidente na may isang patay, habang nagdadalamhati ang pamilya nila dala ay siya niyong aabusuhin ang kanilang kalugmukan. Huwag na huwag niyong gagawin ‘yan sa panahong ito,” he said.
