Humingi ng paumanhin ang coach ng Naga City football team sa nangyaring kaguluhan sa laban nito sa Masbate City sa idinaraos na Palarong Bicol 2024 sa Albay.
Sa ulat ni Jessica Calinog ng GMA Regional TV Balitang Bicolandia, inilahag ng coach ng Naga City sa isang pahayag na walang puwang ang karahasan sa larangan ng palakasan.
Inayunan ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Naga City ang pahayag ng kanilang coach, at sinabi nitong nakikipagtulungan sila sa isinasagawang imbestigasyon ng Department of Education at mga opisyal ng Palaro kaugnay sa nangyaring insidente. Lamang ang Masbate team, 5-0, nang isang manlalaro ng Naga City ang umano'y umatake sa manlalaro ng Masbate.
“Doon po sa athletes natin at patuloy sa paglalaro, lalong lalo na po ‘yung magre-represent ng Bicol region sa papalapit na Palarong Pambansa sa July , sa akin lang po, huwag nating pairalin ‘yung ating emotion; at sundin lang natin ‘yung ating guidelines pagdating sa bullying, abuse, at saka kung ano pa man mga hindi kanais-nais na aksyon o gawain ng isang indibidwal,” sabi ni Fernando Macaraig, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent ng DepEd SDO Naga City.
