Three local government units in Northern Negros experienced flash floods on Sunday evening and Monday morning, displacing over 1,000 families. Evacuation centers were set up across the affected areas, and authorities distributed food and other necessities to those displaced.

Three local government units in Northern Negros were hit by flash floods late Sunday evening, continuing into early Monday. A total of 1,086 families were evacuated due to the flooding. The affected areas included Victorias City, Cadiz City, and the municipality of Manapla. In Manapla, 278 families were evacuated, while Cadiz City reported 808 families affected by the flash floods .

The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) responded by sending 300 food packs to Manapla and 820 food packs to Cadiz City to assist the evacuees. Victorias City evacuees had already returned home, while reports of flooding in neighboring EB Magalona were clarified—those areas were not actually flooded, Governor Lacson explained. Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. reported that 1,842 families, comprising 5,528 people, were affected by the flash floods. The affected families came from the barangays of Lunaz Daga, Caduha-an, Burgos, and Andres Bonifacio. Escalante shared that the city government issued a flood warning as early as midnight on Sunday. He noted that in the relocation site in Villa Sagrado, Brgy. Burgos, floodwaters reached the roofs of some houses, rising to about six to eight feet in several areas. The mayor appealed to evacuees to remain in the evacuation centers until the rains subsided. A total of 15 evacuation centers were opened to accommodate those displaced by the flooding. The Cadiz City Social Welfare and Development Office reported that some evacuees have already returned home, and the city government has distributed food, clothing, and other necessities to those affected. Meanwhile, in Manapla, 214 families, or 688 individuals, were affected by the flash floods, which were caused by the shear line enhanced by Tropical Cyclone Romina and heavy rains.
