The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributed land titles and certificates of condonation with release of mortgage (CoCRoM) worth P816.68 million in Negros Occidental, benefitting over 6,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).
The Department of Agrarian Reform ( DAR ) distributed land titles and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (CoCRoM) worth P816,688,884.04 at the Cadiz Arena on Thursday. The distribution event was a collaborative effort between DAR Negros Occidental 1 and 2, operating under the newly established DAR Negros Island Region (NIR).
This partnership highlights the collective dedication of both offices to advancing agrarian reform and ensuring the successful delivery of land titles, certificates, and other support services to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) for sustainable rural development. The event gathered approximately 4,000 participants, including over 3,500 ARB representatives from Negros Occidental, who received their respective land titles and certificates. In total, 9,707 CoCRoM certificates were distributed, covering 6,413.67 hectares of land and benefiting 6,125 ARBs. With the passage of Republic Act No. 12000, which formally established the Negros Island Region (NIR), DAR introduced the 'Negros Thrust' as a strategic, unified framework. This initiative addresses regional challenges while fostering stronger collaboration between DAR Negros Occidental 1 and 2. Anchored on the battle cry 'Serbisyo Agraryo Una,' the Negros Thrust embodies a collective commitment to enhancing agrarian reform program implementation, maximizing resources, and delivering transformative initiatives. Its ultimate goal is to empower ARBs, advance rural development, and promote inclusive growth across Negros Island. Senator Francis Tolentino attended the distribution in Cadiz City, while Senator Imee Marcos sent her representative.
