The late Jaclyn Jose is set to receive an award from the Film Development Council of the Philippines .On social media, the national film council announced the veteran actress is the recipient of the Honorary Distinction Award at “Parangal ng Sining,” which will be held on April 19, 2024.“Jose was widely known for her versatility and distinctive acting style which made her an icon in the Philippine film industry.
In 2016, Jose won Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her mesmerizing performance in Brillante Mendoza's "Ma'Rosa." The organization also paid its respect to the actress. Jose's other notable performances include starring and supporting roles in films such as "The Flor Contemplacion Story" and "Patay Na Si Hesus.
