MANILA, Philippines: The Film Development Council of the Philippines on Monday announced the appointment of veteran director Jose 'Joey' Javier Reyes as chairman and CEO of the agency.'Chairman Reyes is the successor of former FDCP Chair Tirso Cruz 3rd. He will officially assume his position as the head of FDCP , bringing more than 40 years of expertise in the Philippine film industry to the national film council,' FDCP said in a Facebook post.

The latter headed the agency for 19 months but resigned in March citing 'personal reasons.'The projects slated for the first quarter of 2024, announced during a press conference in February, will proceed as scheduled.
