Fans of K-pop star Kang Daniel made donations to celebrate his 23rd birthday on Dec. 10.
The Songpa Self-Support Center in Seoul revealed that his fan club Danity donated 1,210 air-cleaning plants worth 6.29 million won for 1,210 kids in children’s centers and kindergartens in Seoul and Busan. It added that the children can bring the plants home.
“Kang Daniel’s noble gesture has had a positive influence on fans and they are still conveying this influence to society. It’s a typical example of a good donation culture. ‘Kang Daniel’s hope flower pot’ has become a precious spiritual gift for the children. Once again, I would like to thank Kang Daniel and his fans,” said Lee Jong Soo, head of the center, reported Osen.
In addition, Danity donated 2,420 coal briquettes to the Busan Community Chest of Korea to benefit low-income families in Yeongdo, Busan, the star’s hometown. “In celebration of Kang Daniel’s birthday, we decided to make a donation in hopes to create a warm community as influenced by Kang Daniel’s kind heart,” according to a fan who led the project, SBS News reported.
Kang Daniel’s “God Daniel” fan base made a donation of 12 million won to the to the Korea Association for Children with Terminal Diseases.
