The Malabon City government will donate P4 million as financial assistance to the provinces that were severely affected by Typhoon “Tisoy.”
The provinces of Albay, Sorsogon, Oriental Mindoro, and Northern Samar, which have all been placed under a state of calamity, will each receive P1 million from the Malabon government.
Malabon City Mayor Antolin “Lenlen” Oreta III signed the resolution prepared by the Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council on Friday, December 6. “Ang hakbang na ito ay parte ng ating pakikiisa sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng bagyo. Gusto nating makabangon silang muli at ipaabot natin ang anumang tulong na maibigay ng Malabon ,” Oreta said in a statement.
Typhoon “Tisoy,” known internationally as “Kammuri,” left at least nine people dead and about P811 million in agricultural damages after it hit the country on Tuesday, December 3.
