OPINION: Exhausted ahead of Christmas? You’re far from alone
”. After 2019/2020’s devastating summer bushfires, followed by two years of pandemic isolation and disruption, the expectation is that life is finally back to “normal”. Let the good times roll.
But this year brings the added element of extreme fatigue. It’s the feeling that we’ve been running on adrenaline for several years and now that we can pause to catch our breath, there’s not much left in the tank.If you’re feeling exhausted, it’s entirely understandable. But there is perhaps some comfort in knowing this is an experience shared by others.
Contact volumes remain higher than the pre-COVID period. Perhaps life has not yet returned to normal for many people across Australia. But there are things you can do to take the pressure off and there are reasons to be hopeful about the year ahead.
