Gerald Santos will be back on theater stage soon.
The Filipino singer-actor joins the cast of Atlantis Theatrical Production’s highly-anticipated staging of “Sweeney Todd” starring Tony and Olivier Award winner Lea Salonga, and Jett Pangan.
“Sweeney Todd” is a 2007 musical period slasher film directed by Tim Burton and and an adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheelers’ Tony Award-winning 1979 musical of the same name. Gerald was still in Germany for the UK International tour of “Miss Saigon,” where he played Thuy, when the role of Anthony Hope was offered to him by Atlantis Production director Bobby Garcia.
What makes Gerald more excited about the project is that he will work with Lea for the first time in a local production.
