Former drug addict, Ryan Cabrera Villareal is a registered nurse at the age of 23 years old.
Villareal was addicted to Shabu at the age of 13 and thought that he will not be able to have a life after his addiction.After 7 years of addiction, his parents asked him to enter a rehabilitation center in Talisay City.
When he finished the program, he decided to pursue his nursing career and continue to medical school.He said that he wanted to pursue medicine to help other teenagers, who were once like him. After passing the nursing licensure exam earlier this month, Villareal serves as a resource person for the Department of Health while waiting for the start of medical school.
