An OCTA Research survey predicts eight party-list groups will secure at least one seat in the House of Representatives.
Eight party-list groups are projected to secure at least one seat in the House of Representatives in the upcoming 2025 Midterm Elections, according to a recent OCTA Research survey. The non-commissioned Tugon ng Masa survey revealed that, out of 157 party-list organizations, eight have garnered more than 2% support from likely voters, positioning them to secure at least one guaranteed seat in Congress.
The Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) party-list topped the survey with 13.28% of voter preference.Trailing behind were the Tingog party-list (6.6%) and Ako Bicol party-list (5.34%), ranking second and third, respectively.The Senior Citizens party-list ranked fourth with 4.69%, while USWAG Ilonggo party-list secured the fifth spot with 4.57%.The 4Ps party-list came in sixth with 3.43%, followed by the TUPAD party-list at 2.34%, ranking seventh. Akbayan party-list rounded out the top eight with 2.23%.“With 13.38% of the votes, ACT-CIS is positioned to secure three congressional seats, earning one guaranteed seat in the first round and potentially two additional seats in the second round,” the OCTA survey noted.It also highlighted that the Tingog, Ako Bicol, Senior Citizens, and USWAG Ilonggo party-lists were similarly poised to secure three congressional seats each.Meanwhile, the remaining three party-lists in the top eight—4Ps, TUPAD, and Akbayan—are projected to secure two congressional seats each by obtaining one guaranteed seat in the first round and one additional seat in the second round.Party-lists Bayan Muna, Agimat, AGAP, 1-Rider, Abang Lingkod, Kusug Tausug, and 1-Pacman ranked ninth to fifteenth in the survey.The Tugon ng Masa survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adult Filipinos from November 10 to 16, 2024. It has a ±3% margin of error at a 95% confidence level. Subnational estimates for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao each have a ±6% margin of error at the same confidence level
